Rui, 528 Hz equals the note C5 plus 16 cents. According to the Pythagorean Theorem (& Euclidean geometry), it stands to reason that if a particular frequency can produce microbiological benefits, that it is also due to its harmonic overtone series. So, if you need to use a 528Hz tone, then the notes in the overtone series should also be beneficial in conjunction with the foundation. Also, it can be used to extrapolate lower frequencies, if the 528 is itself an overtone. So is it the first harmonic of C? or the 7th harmonic of D? Building on C5 as the foundation, the notes in the series are C, D, E, F-sharp, G, A, B-flat, and C. This is a Bartok scale using the dominant of the Lydian mode. It is also the raga Bhusavati. If you need more information, I'd have to dig back through my acoustic physics textbook and do some actual math. If I were doing this project, I would start with an oscillating C5-G5 and add sustained tones from the overtone series in a very minimalist style. Just some ideas... Sincerely, Andy. P.S. The "solfeggio" is not ancient. It is a human construct developed by Guido d'Arezzo in the eleventh century. See: "solmization". Also, this Pythagorean Theorem is very similar to Fibonacci's "Golden Mean": 1:2:3:5:8:13:21:34:etc... -----Original Message----- From: ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Rui Vilarinho Sent: Wednesday, October 19, 2011 9:39 AM To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ddots-l] Solfegio harmonics Hi guys, Maybe you can help. i'm making a work for a Yoga teacher. he asked me to make a 60 minutes audio tracks with 9 diferent frequencys. He doesn't want just the frequency, he wants a meditation song. So, that means that I needed to compose a 60 minutes relax meditation song. It was fun! .My only doubt is how much of the desire frequency and wich filters to use! Anyone knows what I'm talking about, and can give orientation? Cheers. There is a special sound and colour of love. The right frequency can help open your heart, prompt peace, and hasten healing. "We now know the love signal, 528 Hertz, is among the six core creative frequencies of the universe because math doesn't lie, the geometry of physical reality universally reflects this music. The third note, frequency 528, relates to the note MI on the scale and derives from the phrase "MI-ra gestorum" in Latin meaning "miracle." Stunningly, this is the exact frequency used by genetic biochemists to repair broken DNA - the genetic blueprint upon which life is based! MI - 528 Hz - relates to crown chakra. Scientists, suggests an association with DNA integrity. The regular "C" that we all know of in this culture (which is from the diatonic scale of do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do) is not the 528 Hz frequency "C. A regular "C" vibrates at a frequency of 523.3 Hz. The "C" of 528 Hz used for DNA repair is part of an ancient scale called the Solfeggio Scale. Solfeggio Harmonics. best regards, Rui Vilarinho
