Lots of work went into the tutorial. The actual scripts for Sonar are not
rocket-science, although I couldn't write scripts like that myself. The
value-added is in the very well-written tutorials to aid us in doing as much
as we can with Sonar, using those scripts.

No, I don't have my own web site. I'm currently only using my studio setup
for my personal enjoyment. It's my "playroom".

Hi dave,

OK, I'm not trying to start an argument, but I need to make this point.
JFW's documentation is available for all on their website, and JAWS isn't
exactly cheap either. What's the big difference?

I'm using a Pac Mate Omni, and i don't have PDF support for it. I don't even
have a laptop or desktop at the moment.

Also, does your recording studio have a website I can check out? I'm trying
to get in touch with as many studios as I can. I'm on a mission to get my
name out, and looking for some experience in this crazy world of
mixing/mastering.

Chelsea,

Have you gone to the Cakewalk web site to see if they have a PDF file for
Sonar? At least that would give you some idea of what the tool will do. As
Chris said CakeTalking's excellent tutorial is part of what we pay for with
the scripts, so not available for free.

Hi Chelsea,

Part of why CakeTalking costs what it does, is that it comes with a
400+ page tutorial. Sorry, but they aren't going to give that away
free.
and Sonar comes with extensive online help built-in as well.
I realize this is frustrating, but the number of us using it
successfully to write, record, arrange, mix, and master music is
testimony to it's accessibility and usefulness.

Chris
