So prior to now, I take it that you could only have three roland tracks in
which you could use a different insert effect? JOhn

The motif already sends 8 fx. You have what are called insertion fx on the
first 8 tracks of sonar. This means that the fx from the voices you select from
the motif carry over into sonar on the first 8 tracks. Until now, you could
only have 3 tracks or parts with Roland synths.

        Hi Damon,

Have you read up on the specs? Am I right in guessing that they've
improved on the fx processors, (meaning you can insert fx on more than 3 sends
into something like sonar?)

Omar. I haven't heard any good news on the fantom G as to
accessibility.

          Hello Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone on here has researched Roland's new Fantom G
workstation. I've read up a bit on it and it seems impressive as far as its
capabilities with multi fx, etc. I'm wondering if Roland's finally stepped up
their game in that department. Roland is also known for their cursor wrapping
around the menus instead of stopping at the beginning or end of a page the way
the cursor does in Yamaha's Motif. Perhaps Bryan has read up on it and could
enlighten us regarding Roland's newest board.
