Ramy, I think what you want is a tie, not a slur. A tie causes two notes to be sounded as one note. In the Sibelius Speaking Tutorial, read "Lesson 11. Creating and editing ties from the PC Keyboard." As for naming instruments, Lessons 15 and 16 may help - I'm not sure exactly what your other questions were, sorry.

If you wern't asking about ties after all, Lesson 38 covers slurs and other expressions.
