i've never tried it, but you can certainly convert the library into soundfont or gigastudio. 


i wander if there is a trial version.

You can play samples in different formats, there are many sample players like vsampler, sfz, live synth , halion, kontak gigastudio. 
personally i have only been able to work with sfz and live synth.
you can create soundfonts with a free program called vienna, but it is not easy to use. i have been successful using it to create complex multisampled banks. with ct 5.3 it is very easy to work with sfz to play soundfonts or loading wav files and play them mapped throughout the keyboard.
