Pay pal said that I am not eligible for their insurance because he didn't
put his address on the invoice. However, I checked and the address that I
shipped to, and that he signed for the package at, is the exact same address that is on his varified pay pal account! When I called pay pal before this sale, all they said was to make sure that I sent everything signed delivery,
which I did.

Cameron:

Don't waste your time with the FBI, they're not going to do anything for
you. I'd really focus on trying to get an attorney for internet crime if
possible. I can't imagine that paypal can be purged fully of the
responsibility of not compensating you somehow.

Hello everyone. It's a long shot but I thought I'd pass this along
anyways
just in case... I was a victim of credit card fraud recently which
resulted
in my Kurzweil K2661, cd roms, external Toshiba CD rom drive, and USB card
reader drive, ending up in the buyer's possession and the payment being
reversed back from my pay pal account. He used a stolen credit card which

I
did not find out about until the items were shipped. He is a verified pay pal account holder and has a confirmed address, which is the one I shipped
to. The items showed up. He signed for them at the same address that is
confirmed on his pay pal account. I shipped Fed Ex express and have all
the
tracking info etc. After he received the items, pay pal contacted me
saying
that he was under investigation for credit card fraud. They then
proceeded
to take the money back from my pay pal account and sent it back to the
original credit card holder. At this point I should mention that in my
account history, it said "transaction completed". I put in an appeal
which
made no difference. I contacted the police, and contacted the FBI which
made no difference. I then proceeded to file a complaint with the
internet
crime department. It's been over a week and I've received no response. I
am beyond angry at this point. This guy uses a stolen credit card to buy
my
gear, the payment clears, I ship the items, and then pay pal takes the
money
back from my account! They won't prosecute this guy or even contact his
bank. They also won't give me any info about their investigation.
Besides
interstate fraud, he's knowingly stolen my property and it's me who is
paying the penalty. This seems totally backwards.

Anyways, it's a long shot but if any of you guys come across someone
selling
a K2661 with Toshiba Cd rom drive etc, who is based in Maryland, please
forward the ad to me.

I don't have the serial number, which in hindsight is stupid.
However, I
do
have a pic of the synth and receipts and all e mails that have to do with
this transaction as well as the fed ex receipt which has his address on
it.

Since the feds and the police as well as pay pal have been no help at
all, does anyone know of any other recourse I could take to get my
money back?

I did speak with a lawyer but internet crime was not his specific
area.
He
suggested contacting the FBI and the Internet crime unit but that yielded
no
results.

Thank you very much.

Cameron.
