Hi

I've DJayd for more than 10 years in clubs and parties etc.

i use a combination of 12 inch records with Technics 1200 turntables, Dennon
2000 series of CD decks, I've used multiple instances of winam to play some
mp3s and, there is a cool software package called Final Scratch which
converts your mp3s onto 2 turntables and the plastic discs read the mp3s and
you play them like they were a record with a tone arm and needle etc. once
you've finished with one mp3 you let the next track ride and load the next
mp3 onto the other turntable. It's fun and is kind of like digging into
your crate of records. of course you can take all kinds f sounds even ones
you've recorded on your own and do some amazing things this way.

are any of these accessible? Well there is nothing to read the play button
or whatever but I'm blind and once you know where the buttons are and what
they do you're set. At least all of the above is intuitive.

I would stay away from automated mp3 mixeing software though, because that's
for suckas!

Stacy

Hello all, sorry about the off topic post but I’ve a friend who’s totally
blind and has been working as a DJ for quite sometime. His sighted wife
passed away recently and now he’s looking for some kind of accessible
software he can use for his live shows. Does any one have any information
you can share with us on this matter? Is their a blind DJ group out there?
Thanks all!
