Hi.

Is there any advantage to having the newer models like the ZeRO SL Mk II, rather than the earlier versions?

I'm just looking at the Novation site now and I'm salivating at the possibilities.

Cheers
Darren

Once someone makes a map, you can send the map to others that own any of the different sized ReMote SL controllers, or even the ReMote SL0, which is just the controls with no keyboard.

The automap thing is the heart of the machine. If you don't use Automap, you don't get the functionality of the box.
Darren, I've even programmed a pretty extensive layout for RMX.
This took using the vision I had, so you would want some sighted assistance initially. However, once done, done.

I haven't gone anywhere near the automap thing, maybe if I needed to, then I

would?

Hi.

That's really odd, because a blind friend also uses it and although
he's only just started getting into it, he tells me that setting up
the automapping seems to work in the majority of cases right out of
the box with nothing to change, especially with popular plugins like
fm7, pro53, Korg Legacy Collections, Hypersonic etc.

If I lived closer to him I'd pop round and have a doodle with it.

Cheers

I've got the Remote SL 61...

It's pretty tricky to set-up, a friend did it for me.
He enabled access to the midi cc's for the Native Instruments FM7,
B4,
and
Pro 53, which work nicely!

It feels good, has aftertouch, and gets power from the USB
connection.

Unfortunately, I don't use the thing anymore...

Hi folks.

Just wondering if anyone has had any experiences good or bad with
the Novation Remote SL series of midi controllers.

I've been reading about the Automap functionality and have heard a
demo over the telephoen of how easy it is to implment.

What's more, when you move faders or press buttons, regardless of
what soft synth or plugin you're using, Jaws will provide feedback.

Understandibly, it's not perfect and some key assignments may need
adjusting to suit, but god, doesn't that make accessible VSTs a much
more realistic
prospect?

Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

Cheers
Darren
