[ddots-l] Noise reduction

Hey guys. I am starting a project of archiving some old reel to reel tapes using Sonar 7. Is there any way to take a snap-shot of the noise at the beginning of the tape to eliminate it from the music? Thanks for any help. Todd Houghton
