[ddots-l] Moving to a better sound card

Hi all
I have the m-audio fw1814 sound card, and am thinking of moving to an
automation card,
What card do you recommend? And will it has good effects on my work? More
easier or something?
Will it make some blug ins more accessible than now?
I need to know the good things that I will get when having an automation
inside my sound card.
Any help will be highly abbreciated
