Dear Rod,
Lock washers are washers that have little cuts in the washers to grip into
the metal. Their very thin and don't do any damage and you can get them at
most good hardware stores such as Ace Hardware Stores. Just bring one of
your screws from the Motif to the store and one of those amazing people will
help you to find the right one out of the 100,000 items they carry!
