Aah. You didn't tell us that you had removed Sonar 8. I don't need to do
that here because I have a full Sonar 8.5 DVD set.

Subject: [ddots-l] Missing Plug-ins Problem Solved

Phil and others,
Just thought I should post that Cakewalk tech support solved my missing
plug-ins problem. Now I have all plugs showing up in 64-bit Sonar.

Here's the thing. If you have Sonar 8.0 on a disc, and then upgrade through
all the downloadable updates, 8.01, 8.02, 8.03 etc. all the way to 8.53, do
NOT! remove sonar 8.0 when you're all done. It's temping because there are
now two Sonar icons on the desktop, two start menu entries etc. but removing
8.0 leaves you with an incomplete 8.53, messes up VST scanning among other
things.

A complete uninstall including removing any Cakewalk Music registry keys,
then just reinstalling and leaving both 8.0 and 8.53 on the system solved
all my problems.

Chris
