Hi Phil,

I used to play one at RNC, I was only there for three Months (Long Story) I used to love playing the Blüthner.
It was a bit beaten up but what a sound.

I thought I must be strange as I preferred it to the two Steinways.

It's good to hear that someone as talented as yourself feels the same way about Blüthner.

Steve, with you on the Blüthner thing. As well as being a
producer/arranger, access technology specialist on Jaws PC's, Cake Talking,
Sonar, hotSpotClicker and alternative scripts for Sonar which I won't
mention here, I am a piano tuner and I must say, they are a joy to tune.

I fine this interesting.

My mate has a C3 grand Yamaha piano, (If the names not right it's the 6 foot
one)
He really does prefer His Tascam CV piano softsynth.

I myself would Kill for a nice Blüthner Grand piano.

The action is lovely and the tone of the one I used to play was warm and yet
alive.

Back to reality, I barely have room for My Steinberg upright and as for my
digital piano, it sits under a shelf.

Maybe a Blüthner one day? well, at least I can still dream.

To a pianist, again, that's p, I, a, n, I, s, t, it's EVERYTHING! Clearly,
you've forgotten your physics.

A B is 6 feet 10.5 inches. A D is 9 feet long. It's a model number thing.

Wow, how do you upgrade a Steinway D (grin)?

Best wishes.

Real Piano? I hope so. (grin) It was a Steinway B from the 19th century.
The synth was an old Roland Sound Canvas. I've upgraded many times since
that CD came out in the 90s. Thanks for the kind words. Kevin

Hi Kevin Gibbs or Kern or whatever you call yourself, I call your music
wonderful and peaceful. That segment that plays on your Web page definitely
sounds like movie music to me--a nice opening theme perhaps, with lots of
kids playing in a park or by water or something like that. What was the
instrumentation you used on that track? I particularly like the piano,
which sounds as real as anything. I'm always looking around for
real-sounding piano softsynths.

Keep up the good work, as they say.
