Hi, Chris, It sounds like the SONAR 4 installer needs to find at least one supported version of JAWS before it can correctly install into an unsupported version. I think the fastest way to go for you would be to install JAWS 6, install CT into both 6 and 7.1. Then make sure 7.1 works for you. Then uninstall JAWS 6. Sorry it cannot be simpler but I believe steps above will work for you. Again, we do not officially support JAWS 7.1 and if things don't work as described, we can't really support you. On the other hand, it seems that people have been able to run CT 4 under JAWS 7.1 without major problems. I failed. The installer asked me to point out where the executable and the DEFAULT.JSS file lived, but even when I successfully did that, I still got a message stating that I had no appropriate version of JFW on the system. I did get a message asking me to hit OK for more options, but this simply dropped me out of the installer. Now, I have JFW 6.0 and could install it, but before I do that, are there any other work-arounds? I wasn't ever given the option to choose an unsupported Jaws, though I suspect the gallivanting around my hard drive to show it where JFW and the JSS file were was in support of that option. If not, is it possible to install JFW onto a separate profile from JFW 7.1? Can I also have different display settings for that profile and disable all the network and antivirus stuff as well? If so, this would likely be the best alternative. Well, OK, the best alternative would be if I could upgrade, but I'd also have to upgrade Sonar, and I suspect the combined upgrade is too rich for my currently under-employed blood.
