[ddots-l] Interface gain issue Mackie 1640I

This may be a little off topic, but I think there are a few of you using the
Mackie 1640I mixer with Sonar and CT. 

My issue; I have to take my gain setting to about the 3 o'clock position to
get enough signal in to Sonar. This is introducing a very noisy signal. This
is a pretty new issue as I have recorded plenty of things where the gain
setting was not even touching the 12 o'clock position. This is happening on
all 16 channels. Does anyone have a suggestion how to solve this or perhaps
something I can double check?
