Can you explain further? Is your guitar connected directly into the unit? If
not, what is connected between the 2, a DI box? An effect unit/pedal?
Where are you seeing the levels clip, in the scarlett control panel meters or
in sonar's meters?
Regards, DJX

Subject: [ddots-l] Focusrite Scarlet Input level problem
Hi there!
Just changed computer (Found one where I could run win 7), installed my
Focusrite Scarlet 8i6 and Sonar. Most things work well so far.
While on the instrument input in the Scarlet panel, I try to record a bit of
guitar in Sonar and I get some cliping problems. I turn the input gain down to
0 and then it doesn't clip but I still have the sound going into Sonar. I try
to find some input gain in the Scarlet control panel with sighted assistance
but I can't find anything. I remember I had this problem at my old computer and
I solved it, but I can't find any notes about what I did. Any suggestions on
what I should try/what settings to look for?
Best /Henrik
