Sonar will still let you frees them. I asked if they were completed, so that you could have a full reference as you did the piano track. Freezing is not the same as archiving. When you archive a track you will not hear it unless you unarchive it. When you frees a track, you can still hear it as the rest of your project plays. The great thing about freezing is that it reduces the load on your CPU. To frees a track do the following. Hold down alt and press the letter R. The track properties menu should appear. Then press F for the frees submenu. Then use the up and down arrow keys to find the option for freezing synths. You could just press the letter Z when you get to this menu as well. I hope this helps. God bless you man. Oh, you can also frees your synths from the synth rack. Also, is freezing the tracks similar to archiving in that the tracks won't play back? Thanks for responding. ----- Original Message ----- From: neville To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, May 20, 2008 10:14 AM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: Desperate for help I have had similar problems with session drummer. Are all the drums and bass tracks completed? If they are then you should frees them, this will take a load off your CPU. Then you should be able to record the piano with no problems. I'm sorry it took so long to respond, but I thought that one of the Sonar and CT gurus would have responded to you by now. I am not an expert and I'm very careful about giving advice. If this doesn't work, you should call tech support. I've recorded a project using the patterns from the session drummer as well as a bass track with the TTS. Whenever I play back the recorded tracks, using a piano track from the TTS, either at some period during the recording, the piano track that I'm adding to the project starts to lag behind the other material, or at least one other time, the already recorded bass track froze up or stopped playing and I could no longer get any sound from the piano no matter how I pressed on the keys. I've switched back and fourth between A c o and WDM drivers and I've increased the buffers. I think now that buffer size is at 5. When they were less, I was getting glitches. I'm using a 1212 Mackey mixer, delta 1010 sound card, midi sport 4x, CT 6.2 with update, Sonar 6.2 producer, and JFW 8.0. Please somebody help I'm trying desperately to record my CD project so that I may finally see some dividends from the whole CT, Sonar investments.
