[ddots-l] Current State of Giga Studio

Hi folks.
I don't do much work with MIDI, but I have almost 40GB of
GigaStudio instruments and samples from back when I did more MIDI work.
What is the current state of the technology? Is it dead?
Is there another sample player that will play .gig files, but also
handle performance data?
A lot of this stuff is just amazing, and I don't want to ditch it.
