Hi Dominique,
If you want a silent bar, I believe you're going about it the right way, at
least that is, the way I do it.
1: Cursor to the midi track you wish to delete bars,
2: hold Shift key whilst pressing F9, (this will take you to the from time),
type in the number of the bar, say bar 7.
3: Tab once to the through time, type in say bar 8, now tab to OK and press
enter.
4: press Control and enter to select the area and finally just press the
delete key and the bar between 7 and 8 will be blank.

I was trying to say, for Midi and audio projects, do you use Automation on
Midi to, for Brakes?
For example, Drumb track 1 to not play from bar 4 and come back on Bar 5?
Or do you just hit delete on Bar 4?
Shift Delete, or just delete by itself?
