Hi Dominique,

If you want a silent bar, I believe you're going about it the right way, at least that is, the way I do it.

1: Cursor to the midi track you wish to delete bars,
2: hold Shift key whilst pressing F9, (this will take you to the from time), type in the number of the bar, say bar 7. 3: Tab once to the through time, type in say bar 8, now tab to OK and press enter. 4: press Control and enter to select the area and finally just press the delete key and the bar between 7 and 8 will be blank.

Hope this helps.

Steve W

I'm sorry about that.
I was trying to say, for Midi and audio projects, do you use Automation on Midi to, for Brakes?
For example, Drumb track 1 to not play from bar 4 and come back on Bar 5?
Or do you just hit delete on Bar 4?
Shift Delete, or just delete by itself?
Thanks!
I've been using delete itself, but wasn't sure if that was the correct way to do it.
