Gord, of course, that's what I do. But when I want to insert a patch change
in a track I wish I could select it by playing the keyboard to find out what
the displayed patch in the respective field of the bank/patch change dialog
sounds like. To me it seems kind of unconvenient to first look for it in the
track property and having to memorize it or even take a note to be able to
arrow to it in the bank/patch change dialog. Anyway, if it has to be like
that I'll cope with it. Thanks!

You should be using the track properties dialog if you want to audition patches.
