Because if you're using a sequencer for a whole night's gig, you're probably 
going to go with a rack-mount or laptop computer rather than having to werstle 
with the sequencers in the hardware...  With the facilities of a multi-port 
rack mount midi system, you can control everything from effects processors, to 
lights, 
and a click-track for the pieces.  Seems like, on this list, the preponderance 
of computer knowledgeable personel in the band is going to be a blind guy out 
of necessity, and the blind guy is going to be running the group to get out 
from under the transportation bug-a-boo...
