Hello Jim, below are the descriptions of the buttons and control of the SR18.
If there are a few on the list who may be intrested in this machine, with there
approval I will continue to send these notes.
However if its is just you and me I guess we need to do this privately.
So we'll see what the others think.

Sr18 top Panel buttons and controls.
There are basically 4 sections of this machine.
Left side of machine behind the 12 drum pads are the numeric and record play
buttons.
Locate these buttons.
There are 4 rows of buttons.
The top 2 rows are the numeric number buttons and the plus and minus buttons.
Top row, There are 6 buttons, from left to right, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and plus up
button.
Second row There are 6 buttons, from left to right, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0, and minus
down button.
Third row There are 5 buttons, from left to right, Drum button, Percussion
button, Bass button, PTN patern button, and Drum roll button.
fourth row There are 7 buttons, from left to right, Record button, Play pause
button, Stop button, Patern A button, Patern B button, Fill button, and Mute
button.
Caution, try to aboie the PTN patern button in the third row.
Second section buttons.
Just to the right of the first section there are 9 buttons, 3 buttons in 3 rows.
Top row, there are 3 buttons, from left to right, Song patern toggle button,
Patern preset user toggle button, and step edit button.
Second row there are 3 buttons, from left to right, Drum set button, Record
menu button, and system setup button.
Third row, there are 3 buttons, from left to right, Save Copy button, Erase
button, and Effects button.
Section 3.
Just to the right of the 9 buttons are 3 buttons.
From top to bottom.
Page up button.
Page down button.
Tap tempo button.
When you are in a menu such as the Record menu, the page up and down buttons
moves you through the various pages.
Tap the Tap tempo button to set the tempo.
You can also hold the Tap tempo button and turn the data dial to change the
tempo.
Right above thes buttons is the data dial knob.
Section 4, There are 12 drum pads.
At the bottom of the unit are two rows of 6 buttons.
These buttons make up the 12 drum pads for programming or simply playing drum
sounds.
They are touch sensitive.
In the Record menu, you can change the pads sensitivity, there are 3 level to
select from.
There are also 8 fixed levels as well.
Back of unit, jacks and controls.
Turn the unit arround where the back is faceing you, from left to right.
1. Volume knob.
2. Auxiliary input jack.
3. Right output jack to a audio mixer or amp.
4. Left output jack, to a audio mixer or amp.
5. Stereo earphone jack.
6. Guitar input jack.
7. Input midi jack.
8. Output midi jack.
9. Start stop foot pedal jack.
10.Paternswitchfrom patern A to Patern b and back again foot pedal jack.
When stopped, you can use this pedal to tap in the desired tempo.
11. Power input jack.
12. On and off power button.
