In the sonar audio control panel (options menu \ audio) there are driver
settings on the last tab. The correct driver needs to show in that list,
and you also need to be sure it's name is checked in both the input and
the output lists. You then need to go back to the first tab and be sure
that both the play and record devices are set to the new device.
Also, driver installation can be a bit strange sometimes. I have an
Edirol quad capture, and when installing the device drivers, you need to
disconnect the hardware until you are prompted to plug it in; if you
have it plugged in when you begin the installation then it may not work
properly. I have no idea if your drivers require this, but it might be
worth checking.
Hope that helps.

I updated the driver. Now I can see the 2I2 device in sonar but, nothing I can
hear. I did apply acio in driver mode, and input and output all selected 2I2,
then I re-start computer, open sonar again, showing midi device not setup. I
don’t get it, I did these procedures for three times.

Does it also say Code 10?
What category are you seeing it
in, sounds and audio or other devices?
Looks like your drivers are the
issue.

Press enter on the 2i2 in device

properly"?

Hi, is the driver you downloaded
for the second gen? I believe they use different
drivers/control panels.
The second gen is
compatible, I built a daw for a client last year and
that
was the audio interface I installed and it worked
great
in
SONAR. She's still using it to this day.
Do you hear the hardware
inserted sound when you plug in the unit?
Also, how many things do you have plugged in to
your USB ports? Are you using a USB hub?

I remove zoom R16
driver then installed focusrite 2I2 usb asio driver
(this
version was release in June 2017) but, nothing found
in
sonar, option, audio, input/output. I did re-selected
acio
in driver mode then click apply, there’s nothing I
can
choose in device selection. I bought this 2I2 is
second
generation, do you think is not compatible? I checked
Cakewalk website it only show how to setup 2I2 first
generation with sonar.
