Hi,
There will be a free online orientation session this coming Monday, January 10
at noon. It is free but please let me know if you want to participate so we
can reserve a place for you. Please see below for more details.
Our next free orientation session is scheduled for Friday, February 4 at noon.

One free 40-minute orientation session is included with the purchase of
GOODFEEL. For sighted customers we will offer online sessions using
GoToMeeting. For our blind customers we will offer a comparable orientation
probably using JAWS Tandem.
Blind Customer Orientation
Orientation sessions for our blind customers will focus on using Lime Aloud to
prepare Lime files and they will be scheduled upon request.
Sighted Customer Orientation
Who
Anyone can actually participate in any orientation session but there is a limit
and we need to focus on the customers who have never had a GOODFEEL
orientation.
When
The orientation sessions for our sighted customers will occur on a day at the
beginning of each month. Initially they will occur on the first Monday of
every month. This may change on a month by month basis to accommodate the
majority of customers.
What
These orientation sessions will last about 40 minutes and during that time
someone will go through the whole process of preparing your music for brailling
with GOODFEEL. Much of the time will be spent with SharpEye and then some time
will be spent with Lime. Very little time will actually be spent with GOODFEEL
because if your music is prepared properly you don’t really need to think much
about GOODFEEL.
Try to have your scanner working in case you have an example that you’d like to
demonstrate.
How You Can Prepare
· Send an e-mail to me at albertm13@xxxxxxxx and let me know you want to
participate.
· These sessions will use GoToMeeting which is quite easy to use. We
have had very few problems with it so far. It should work if you can go to
joingotomeeting.com and get to the point where you are asked for a meeting ID.
A test meeting can be scheduled before the actual session if you would like.
· Please make sure your computer’s microphone and speakers work but you
can still participate without them using a chat window.
· Please close or hide any confidential windows on your computer before
the meeting since you may want to show your screen or a specific application on
your computer during the meeting. It is possible to show only a specific
application during a meeting.
