Dear Oracle customer,

On December 19, 2005, Oracle Security Alerts revised the October 2005 Critical Patch Update Advisory with clarifications on affected products for Workflow vulnerabilities and an update regarding the affected version of Oracle Database 10g using Oracle Enterprise Manager Agent.

The Workflow issues only apply to customers who have explicitly installed the standalone Workflow component with the Oracle Database, or with Oracle Application Server, or customers who have configured Oracle Content Services as part of the Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g. Oracle Collaboration Suite 9.0.x customers who have manually configured Workflow to work with Oracle Files also need to apply the patch.

The Oracle Database impacted version clarification only applies to customers using Oracle Database 10gR2 installed with the Enterprise Manager Agent.

As a reminder, please refer to the Pre-Installation Notes before applying patches since this is where you can find clarifications and corrections to the installation instructions. Additionally, you can check the Modification History in the Advisory for a record of the changes.
