CALL IN DAY in support of the Cogswell-Macy Act. HR 3535
We would like to have a call prior to this day so we may coordinate visits to
your Congressmen's local offices, along with local offices for our U.S. Senator
Cornyn or Senato Cruz.
Or phone calls to these offices or their Washington DC offices!
You can read about the bill if you go to www.intervener.org

If you have questions, please don't hesitate to email me.
Hopefully we can provide support for this bill that is crucial for our

Thank you all and I hope that you can join on April 3 for the call.

Subject: Capitol Hill Advocacy Day - Congratulations!
Congratulations on making our first Capitol Hill Advocacy Day an overwhelming
success! We had more than 100 attendees from 21 states, with more that 70
formal appointments set! You came from the north, south, east, and west! You
brought your own stories and stories and letters from many others! You joined
forces with advocates from your state whom you had never met! You went to your
own meetings - then you dropped into other offices to continue advocating! You
traversed the long distances of Capitol Hill with a smile on your face! You are
amazing and inspiring!
With all that behind you you may think it is time for a little rest. Well . . .
no, not yet! Could you kindly do the following asap:
1. Send a thank you note to the staffers/Members of Congress you met with. A
hand-written note is best, but at minimum, please send an e-mail thanking them
for meeting with you and offering to answer any questions they may have. Feel
free to forward me any questions you can’t answer, or to give my name and
e-mail address to the staffer.
2. Complete that attached survey for each meeting you had and e-mail it to
smalaier@xxxxxxx. It is very important that we receive this information so that
we can keep track of the meetings and prepare for follow-up.
3. Get ready for our Alice Cogswell and Anne Sullivan Macy Act National Call-in
Day on April 14. Details to follow!
