The Communication Book Project (Information.).
Deafblind Victorians (DBV) is hosting a special event.
DBV received funding from Melbourne City Council for a project to create a
Deafblind communication book with information about deafblindness, different
communication needs, and guide techniques and with a finger spelling cards to
give out to the community.
This book will help the community such as public transport, police and cafes,
local councils and so on to learn about Deafblind Victorians (self-advocacy
group) and about the deafblind community needs. DBV want to increase more
awareness and increase more accessibility in the community for deafblind people.
This is a great opportunity for the deafblind community to advocate for
themselves within their own communities.
Deafblind Victorians.
