The only way you can find out is to ask the tech support people at both
organisations if they had problems, and if you're lucky they'll dig out of
their server logs details of what happened each time the transfer was
attempted - which might have been many times before it actually worked.
Thanks - that's pretty much what I thought. The delays have been really
variable
(from less than a minute to two days), so it's evidently an intermittent issue.
As you say, contacting the relevant tech support people with exact details is
the only way to pin this down. But if I'm the only one with the problem (and if
nobody else is with XenCentric), that would point to the former Purley Hosting
as possibly responsible.
But no worries - I can live with it for now.
