[softwarelist] disentangling threads

a couple of people today have started a new topic by replying to some
old message at random, and simply changing the subject line. (better
practice would have been to send a New message to the list.)

for people using a proper threaded newsreader, the unintended result
is that the new topic buries itself in the middle of an unrelated
thread.

the cure is simple, at least in the Messenger Pro newsreader:

 - open the offending message (ie, the first one in what should be a
new thread).
 - press F8, which loads it and all its headers into your text editor.
 - find the "In-reply-to" header and disable it. typing "//" at the
beginning of the line will do the job. save and close.
 - when you refresh the newsgroup index, a separate new thread
appears.
