Hi,

A couple of points.

I wrote about a bug in SparkFS and a fix for it a short while back. It has been pointed out to me that there is another related problem, I intend fixing that too. This means starting the process again with a fixed zip module for download.

The related problem has been present since 1992, not particularly important.

The "zero page" version of RISC OS has been mentioned to me:

Quite amusing, I've said for years, RISC OS software would be better if this problem was fixed. Now I appear to have to do a lot of work fixing it in Ovation Pro.

I've actually fixed all these bugs on the Windows version, but did not feed them back into the RISC OS version. Yep, I'm sorry now.

For the most part they are bugs which don't actually change anything - the program reads from location zero and then does nothing with the value it has read.

It will be interesting to see what happens with this development. As in how much software will survive.

What I would like is a quick path from error to line in C code. I don't much fancy a dozen episodes translating code addresses into position in source code via print statements.

Because of the Win port I am aware of the situation with Ovation Pro - no idea about anything else.
