Hi,
The way tabs work is that there is a default tab every 10mm after the
last tab put in by hand. So if you only want hand defined tabs put the
last one off the right hand edge of the ruler.
I guess this is a reasonable default behaviour, it prevents the
situation of "tabs do nothing" arising.
Actually typing tab characters into text with the intention of them
doing nothing is probably bad practice - because one day you will export
the text and the tabs will be there and have an effect.
