Well, well, well...
In conclusion. And I really do mean that.
I thought just for the fun of it I'd attempt a small scale reconstruction
of a part of my OvPro document on the Win side with other apps.
After messing about a bit I decided to use Libre Office 5 for the job.
At first things went okay, albeit tediously slow and messy...
Then LO started to do strange things, then LO crashed out, and upon
restarting offered to repair the document it was loading.
It did the repair and presented me with a caricature of my original with
elements all over the place.
Dumped that and started again with a version back of the document...
Did some more work on it, then LO got cranky again and started placing
text boxes, not where I wanted them, but somewhere else spuriously placed
in the document.
Had a few more goes starting from the earlier document version, but the
fun element wore off very quickly.
Conclusion... An exercise in self inflicted pain/tedium/boredom if ever
there was one.
So Mr Pilling the OvPro satisfaction dial is now turned up to 9.95 and
were it not for the previously mentioned missing save/export option, it
would have been 11 on the dial. (Spinal Tap). :))
