Hi,

I've uploaded a new version of the colour supplement applet for Ovation Pro RISC OS to:

http://www.davidpilling.net/ovationpro/applets/files/colsup.zip

This fixes a long running irritation. If image processing has ever been used on an image then it cannot be removed.

You might thing that this is not a problem, after all you can just set the processing to have no effect - a 45 degree line from bottom left to top right. Alas this is not so because image processing is done in the chosen colour space.

For example if you have an image in CMYK space, the default settings will result in it being converted to RGB space, processed and then converted back to CMYK. However well done the conversions can lose information.

This has led to people having to search through documents setting the correct colour space for images - after having found their CMYK images not rendered correctly.

The new applet looks at the image processing settings and if they should have no effect, the image is rendered with no changes at all.

This means that all you have to do is install the new applet, there's no need to mess about changing settings in documents.

The Picture->Process dialogue has been changed to show you if any processing is taking place.

I suppose that this improvement is creating a trap, if you upgrade, produce a document and then hand it to someone who has not upgraded results may be different.
