I've just tried the latest version of OP (January 2011) on W7. Installs
and works with no problems.
As to the creation of things like the Autorun folder. These are not
created on installation, they're created as needed. For example there is
no Autorun until the Macros are saved (or until something else that
needs the folder is done).
However, this is not the problem, Dave's problem is that the program is
accessing a registry key that does not exist, and that under normal
circumstances the program is not intended to access that registry key.
On my W7, this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVers
ion\\Explorer\\Shell Folders\\AppData
exists and has a sensible value. So even if it was used it would work.
Other thing about user rights, it's not just installation, it's also the
rights you have when running the program.
