Sorry about that - had I mentioned I am getting doddery?
Is there any way of setting autosave globaly or does it
have to be set for each document/stylesheet. If I am going to
forget to save, I am going to forget to set autosave

Of course OPW has an auto-save function.
It's in Preferences, and it can be fully configured -
with or without a prompt, and at your chosen intervals.
