Rather diminishes the need for a driver. It is a catch22 situation in that though !MFPxEpson covers the Epson scanning there isn't always a RISC OS driver for the printer element. >>The latest HP printers also have the ability to send an email of a >>file to printout so it would be good to see if some support for the HP > Yes, some of these devices seem to act like USB memory, removing all > need for drivers. If I was looking for something then it would either be a standalone scanner or HP multifunctional that has a RISC OS driver, be it native or via GutenPrint, so we have some cover between Epson and HP in one form or another. The reason I'd favour that approach is that the HP printers can use ePrint and also as you say another option is direct to a card. The Canon printers seem not so well covered under the GutenPrint initiative. Doug -- See and experience the future using ARM Technology - BeagleBoard -xM, Cortex A8 and RISC OS 5.19.
