It is a catch22 situation in that though !MFPxEpson covers the Epson
scanning there isn't always a RISC OS driver for the printer element.

If I was looking for something then it would either be a standalone
scanner or HP multifunctional that has a RISC OS driver, be it native
or via GutenPrint, so we have some cover between Epson and HP in one
form or another. The reason I'd favour that approach is that the HP
printers can use ePrint and also as you say another option is direct
to a card.

The Canon printers seem not so well covered under the GutenPrint
initiative.
