Maybe I've misunderstood, but is it not already possible to base a new
chapter on any previous chapter?

True, a new chapter is always based on the previous chapter, but the point
is that it will always receive its own master page (which indeed is
identical to the one of the other chapter). Any change to a master page
will only be reflected in the chapter that it is assigned to. This may be a
pain as soon as you want to apply a change throughout the whole book (with
umpteen similar chapters).

In other words, rather than having 81 chapters, assigned to 81 similar
master pages, I'd like to have 81 chapters, based upon one single master
page. At least, I'd like to have the choice.

Kind regards,
Paul Sprangers
