Yes I have an applet !IncSave. (Nick Kaijaks, 2001), does exactly that, with an icon on the button bar. It adds _00n, where n is the incremental number of each save. Helpfile says 'Use freely, but please redistribute with permission' so if anyone knows where to contact him I'll certainly ask him if it's ok to pass on. > >> My feeling is that it could be done as a one line macro - read the filename, work out a number, generate new filename and save. > > That would be useful, if one knew how... > > If you have !Keystroke you can set up such a thing, IIRC page (Pause while checks) yes page 44 of the Keystroke manual give some description of how to set it up... Additional IIRC it can be given a timer so that every nn seconds or minutes, set by the user it will auto save with incremental number. > > Dave > > -- > > To unsubscribe or subscribe goto: //www.freelists.org/list/davidpilling > Best wishes Colin Carnegie To unsubscribe or subscribe goto: //www.freelists.org/list/davidpilling
