Yes I  have an applet !IncSave. (Nick Kaijaks, 2001), does exactly that,
with an icon on the button bar. It adds _00n, where n is the incremental
number of each save.

Helpfile says 'Use freely, but please redistribute with permission' so if
anyone knows where to contact him I'll certainly ask him if it's ok to pass
on.
