Works for me (which is never saying much, everything works for me). I
can see catches:
The frame is not empty (i.e. no text in it)
What are you pasting from - some Windows apps will offer formats OP does
not like.
Have to select frame before paste.
You've got the option of pasting from inside OP (as opposed to from
external app). In other words get the image in OP, then copy, then paste.
Drag and drop from outside OP works, and there's also the possibility of
Drag and drop from inside OP.
Q2) How do I get two embedded frames next to each other on the same
horizontal line?
That also works, they need room. As was said, they act just like big
characters. Same goes for positioning. You can position characters very
accurately with horizontal and vertical shifts.
