Did find a few minutes after jobby done... ran the process on the Real
Document chapter in the whole document, it worked without a hitch or mess.

One small modification to the last post, something I forgot...
Test document and real documant as well.
In the first part of the process, after Page-Delete Pages 2.7 to 2.9 has
been done, one empty page remains.
Click the mouse at the very top of that page, press the Delete key once
and that page is removed.
So the process is now:

The process:

Insert the new chapter between the chapter 2 and its copy before starting
the action.
So I now have...
Chapter 2
New Chapter 3
Copy of Chapter 2 now chapter 4
The action:

Chapter 2.
Start in page 7, (not page 5) and delete text to the end of the chapter.
Page-Delete Pages 2.7 to 2.9
One empty page remains. Click the mouse at the very top of that page,
press the Delete key and that page is removed.
Go to chapter 4 (Copy)
Select and delete text page 2 to page 6
Page-Delete Pages 4.2 to 4.6
