But what does multiple chapters actually do for you? Is it to have
26 (or whatever) sets of per-chapter page numbers, each restarting at 1?
Is it so that you can guarantee that each new chapter/section starts at

Jeremy, you are lucky the GrumpMaster has been inactivated for a few years
now, 10 actually... As he'd reply with some invective and "Because that's
how I want it..."
However, this me, the other me, is far more mild mannered and
As noted earlier the book has 26 alpha chapters, A to Z, each chapter
starts afresh with the numbering so the pages number as A1, A2 etc,

This book was started a long time ago and has grown somewhat more than I
expected (It also needs a damn good re-edit) so to make it easier to
add/remove/edit I've decided I need to split some of the chapters into sub
Chapter N (The chapter) as an example, contains a great deal of Networking
stuff as well as other things that begin with N.
I was intending to split N data into two chapters so that the first part
of chapter N would contain only network stuff and the sub chapter of N2
would containing all other N things.
If I was starting the document from scratch tomorrow I would probably set
it out differently (Don't know as I don't really intend to do that) but
the bottom line... Looking at it today (To quote my old self) It's how I
