Wouldn't it be better to pursue the people who support the PDF -> Epub
conversion tool? If you get dodgy results presumably lots of other people
do too, after all PDFs are a pretty standard format.
I don't see why you keep ranting about the OPro aspect of this; once a
document's a PDF it shouldn't matter how it got produced as one.
