Paul,
The reason it looks a mess without javascript is that currently the style
sheet is written in to new browsers with javascript! Therefore you are
currently seeing the content without any styling. When finished it won't
look like this without javascript.
Can i ask the main reasons why you turn off javascript when browsing?
