dear all

Maida, (10 Things the Dance Community Should Be Talking About in 2011), you
have given us much to think about, thank you

i want to start by looking at some of the terms, perhaps some of you out there
can join in?

what is "scalability"?
is it the ability to present your work in many guises, shapes, sizes, and on
different platforms? and how do you propose small companies or groups or
inidvidual to go about this....
in conjunction with:
you mention the "stakeholders" -- who are they and do we all know them and
how do we deal with them or with our own interests in, perhaps, becoming a
"stake holder" and would we want to hold stakes and where?

are schools and academies also stakeholders?

what festivals and producers or theatres or galleries work with international
name-recognized companies, and which ones work with independents and do we have
a picture of the landscape?

the other term i recently leant is "gate keeper" (this happened when i
proposed an installation to a producer and I was asked what genre our work
falls under and I answered, no particular one (i said it was a mix of music,
dance media artm networked art, video and visual installation), and was then
given to understand that it wouldn't work).
