This is to alert you to a forthcoming performance at the Linbury
Studio Theatre, London.

EROS ERIS
by Liz Lea and Sarah Rubidge

Linbury Studio Theatre, Royal Opera House,
London

Monday 21 to Thursday 24 May at 8pm

Liz Lea presents a new choreographic work that intertwines with
virtual imagery by Sarah Rubidge.

Performer and choreographer Liz Lea collaborates with digial
choreographer Sarah Rubidge to present Eros Eris a live, intermingling
of real and virtual worlds on the Linbury Studio Theatre stage. The
duet between two dancers (Lea and Fearghus O'Conchuir) creates a
subtle and vibrant choreographic interplay between the live and the
virtual. Eris~Eros draws on the writings of Pre-Socratic philosopher
Empedocles who saw the world as an ever turning sphere, or a pendulum
ceaselessly moving back and forth through love (Eros) and strife
(Eris), and immersed in never-ending transformations. The piece is set
to a score by John Metcalfe.

Tickets: 0207 304 4000 (£18, £15, £13, £9 standing; £10 students)

Also on the programme, a work by Cathy Marston and composer Stuart
MacRae who blend dance, opera and live video to explore the themes of
the Greek myth Echo and Narcissus from Ovid's 'Metamorphoses'.

Hope you can come.
