Good afternoon fellow Carbon Valley Toastmasters. Today the executive
committee of officers had a meeting and planned the future of Carbon Valley
Toastmasters. I can tell you this, Just wait till you see what we have planned
for the future. You will be dazzled and amazed. We made a plan through the
first of the year with our ultimate goal for the club to become President’s
Distinguished. Our biggest goal was to make sure that each of the member’s
goals are being met and we are all having fun. We will explain more at the
weekly meeting.
One of the issues that was considered and tentatively approved was to increase
the length of the weekly meeting from 1 hour to 1 hour and fifteen minutes.
The additional time would allow for the addition of educational training and
allow for more flexibility in our normal programming (table topics, speeches,
etc.). I would be interested in hearing from all members to discuss the
additional time. Good or bad comments are requested. Let us know if this
extra time is something that you can live with. We are currently having many
meetings go over the one hour time and the extra time would allow more freedom
and flexibility.
I won’t bore everyone in this email but good things are coming to CVTM, think
movies, debates, contest(s), training and more.
