Hello Toastmasters,
As many of you know, James has been unavailable to attend our meetings because
he is going through a grueling training process in order to become a Chief in
the Navy Reserves. Part of the process includes fundraising events. James and
his fellow Chief Selectees are hosting a garage sale fundraiser this weekend in
Littleton. If you happen to have any items you are wanting to get rid of, or if
you are able to go through your closets, cabinets and rooms and find things you
are willing to donate, please let me know and I'll make arrangements to pick up
the items for their garage sale. I know it's short notice as I would need by
Friday, but this entire process is hectic and they are tasked with doing so
much in a little amount of time.
They are also hosting a mini-golf fundraiser in Parker on Sept. 9, and are
soliciting donations for an auction event. They are hosting the event in
memory of two fallen sailors. If you are affiliated with any businesses and
can get any donations, or put me in contact with someone who might be willing
to help, let me know. You can also donate directly if you so choose to do so.
