What version are you running? Mine runs fine automatically under 1.9.1.5

1.9.1.1(1.0.00)

I only realized today that I had "auto update" set to notify instead of install. I see in my auto update history:

Wed Sep 21 16:00:42 2011: info: new assp version 1.9.1.4 (1.0.03) is available for download at http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/assp/assp%20installation/autoupdate/assp1x/assp.pl.gz Wed Sep 21 16:00:42 2011: autoupdate: info: performing assp.pl.gz download to /applications/assp/download/assp.pl.gz Thu Sep 22 07:10:27 2011: adminupdate: autoupdateassp changed from 'download only (1)' to 'download and install (2)' Thu Sep 22 12:49:57 2011: info: new assp version 1.9.1.4 (1.0.03) is available for download at http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/assp/assp%20installation/autoupdate/assp1x/assp.pl.gz Thu Sep 22 12:49:58 2011: autoupdate: info: performing assp.pl.gz download to /applications/assp/download/assp.pl.gz

So it looks like it will update sometime tonite I hope? However, it looks like I still have a permissions problem with rebuildspamdB. the last time it ran it seems was Sept. 8:

Thu Sep 8 13:52:33 2011: autoupdate: info: performing rebuildspamdb.pl.gz download from http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/assp/assp%20installation/autoupdate/assp1x/rebuildspamdb.pl.gz to /applications/assp/download/rebuildspamdb.pl.gz Thu Sep 8 13:52:34 2011: autoupdate: info: new rebuildspamdb.pl.gz downloaded to /applications/assp/download/rebuildspamdb.pl.gz Thu Sep 8 13:52:34 2011: autoupdate: info: current rebuildspamdb version '/applications/assp/download/rebuildspamdb.pl' available Thu Sep 8 13:52:34 2011: autoupdate: info: saving current script 'rebuildspamdb.pl' to 'rebuildspamdb_old' Thu Sep 8 13:52:34 2011: autoupdate: info: syntax check for '/applications/assp/download/rebuildspamdb.pl' returned ok Thu Sep 8 13:52:34 2011: autoupdate: warning: unable to replace current script 'rebuildspamdb.pl' - skip update - permission denied Thu Sep 8 13:52:34 2011: autoupdate: info: saving current script '/applications/assp/assp.pl' to 'assp_1.9.1.1(1.0.00).pl' Thu Sep 8 13:52:35 2011: autoupdate: info: syntax check for '/applications/assp/download/assp.pl' returned ok

When I look at the permissions on the rebuildspamdb.pl file, it shows "me" have read/write with everyone else read only.

I'm pretty sure in the past I've chmod'd the file to give the ASSP user full control over the file. It's possible that when I've manually updated ASSP when logged in remotely to the GUI, the permissions were overwritten by my user account.

I'll change the permissions from terminal and see what happens.

Hi All: It doesn't look like my rebuildspamdb.pl is running.

I have it set to run automatically at 4am, but the last rebuild is showing as "Jul 17". I've tried
checking the "run rebuildspamdb now" and clicked "run now", and in the maillog I see:

Sep-22-11 16:47:37 AdminUpdate: task RebuildNow was queued to run;
Sep-22-11 16:47:47 Info: Command '"/usr/bin/perl" "/Applications/ASSP/rebuildspamdb.pl"
"/Applications/ASSP" silent&' started from ASSP by RebuildNow;

But I can't tell if anything's happening or not? How long should it take to run?

If nothing's happening, would this be due to a permissions error or something
else?
