I recognize the standard ultra left attacks on DSA because they dare to
actually run for office and win elections under a socialist banner for the
first time in a hundred years. And do local organizing on housing and other
issues and actually have built grassroots operations that scare their
so-called “friends” in the Democratic Party to death to the extent they are
backing PACs to oppose their candidates. And of course our own UFT is
totally lined up with the Corp Dems. DSA is guilty of growing from 5000 to
100,000 members in five years. They are also guilty of not calling for
general strikes and clicking their ruby slippers three times and expecting
it to happen.
I’m a proud member of DSA and will be working for my local city council
Dem candidate who is not dsa but has support from local progressives to
defeat the republican candidate in the only council district with an
incumbent Republican.
And I speak as someone who despises the mainstream Dem Party.

They have not given the option to opt out yet.  There will be more
information as we get closer to January 1, 2022 when this goes into
effect.  At this time there is no form or any information on opting out.
