The Lillian Pollak piece would be a short obituary; the interview with her was
published in a previous issue.
The Vera interview was transcribed by Mark and Irma. I have to go through it
and edit it.

3. the CUNY piece refers to Cuomo's new initiative of free tuition, but not for
immigrants and only for full-time students (which pretty much excludes most of
the working class students, thus it will apply mostly to attract suburban kids.
This initiative ought to be expanded to all in a fight for open admissions...0
